BERND STROMBERGER

MUSICAL COMPOSER - AUTHOR - LYRICIST

Bernd Stromberger is a free lance musical theater composer, wo also writes book/lyrics for musical theater and drama (in German). He studied composition/music education at the Academy for Music and Visual Arts, as well as German language and literature studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. Bernd's mentor as a musical theater playwright/lyrcist is Michael Kunze, as a composer he studied with professors Uhl, Kubizek and Tachezi. Further training with Matthias Rüegg, Fritz Ozmec and Stanley Walden (the music in the Musical). He started his career being a junior high school teacher. He produced and wrote several pop songs (hit single "Ready 4 Radetzky", # 3 in the Austrian charts 1989).

AWARD NOMINATIONS:

International competition "Musical of the Year 1996" (Denmark): nomination "Best Song" (as a composer) for: "Sam and Rosie" from the musical "DER HERR DER RINGE" (based on J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Hobbit").

Bernd also works as author and/or lyricist and/or composer with various teams developing new properties.

In April 2005 Bernd and the two Swiss producers Markus Müller and Balz Burch founded "musicalworld gmbh", a company which is dedicated to development, production and distribution of musicals.
