
Glenn Treibitz
Glenn's artistic background has mainly encompassed music and the theatre. Attending both
the Dalcroze School and The Mannes College of Music Prep School in New York, Glenn
graduated with a double major in theatre and communication at the William Paterson University.
While attending William Paterson, Glenn entered the American College Theatre Festival and
won the grand prize for writing the Book, Music and Lyrics for his musical "Going On!" which
performed to sold out audiences at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater. Glenn was also
honored by the Dramatist Guild Council for New Playwrighting Award for his original musical.
Glenn has since been a member of the ASCAP and New School Musical Theater workshops.
During his membership at the New School, another original musical entitled "There's Nothing
Like the Mountains" was performed as a staged reading and received enthusiastic responses
from the critics.
Glenn also wrote, arranged and musical-directed the annual travel show at the
New York Coliseum. He has played piano and conducted the orchestra for the Arthritis Telethon
from the Ed Sullivan Theater as well as having conducted at the New York's famed Roseland
Ballroom for their Cabaret series, not to mention almost every Catskill Mountain Resort. Glenn
also had the honor of composing the original music for Yale University Theater Department's
125th anniversary celebration.
In Los Angeles, Glenn has co-produced and directed the First International
New Age Music Festival at the Wiltern Theater, has served as musical director
on television and radio programs and even hosted and wrote the theme music
for the popular "Piano Bar Tonight" radio program on KIEV radio. Glenn's
first and foremost passion is music and musical theatre.
Glenn is currently working on the musical comedy "Short Tenors -
And A Dead Soprano", which will be workshopped in the US in spring
07 (musical director: Alexander Frey).
