Philipp was born and raised in Würzburg, Germany, where he began his artistic career in singing, dancing and acting. He studied Musical Theater at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich, where he received a scholarship from the German Stage Society in 2013. In the same year Philipp won Germany’s national singing competition „Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin“ in the category Musical/Chanson, where he had already won a sponsorship award in 2011. While studying he could be seen in several roles like Jonathan Harker in Frank Wildhorn’s DRACULA and Jesus in REEFER MADNESS. He played Frederick Barrett in the Austrian premiere of TITANIC, Simon in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Gärtnerplatztheater and the title role in Philip Glass’s opera GALILEO GALILEI in Munich.
After graduating in 2014 Philipp starred the leading role in the European premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s BONNIE UND CLYDE as Clyde Barrow at the Stadttheater Bielefeld, where he also performed his One Man Show COMIC HERO. He was also seen as Ché in EVITA at the Staatstheater Oldenburg, Tybalt in ROMEO UND JULIA at the Thunerseespiele in Switzerland and as Bruno Lubanski in the German musical DAS WUNDER VON BERN at the Stage Theater an der Elbe.
At the Moment Philipp is alternate Aladdin in Disney’s Aladdin at the Stage Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg.
