Ana Milva Gomes

Ana Milva Gomes is Dutch with Cape Verdean roots and studied in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She moved to Germany to play the title role in AIDA. The next shows where  THE LION KING (Nala) and TARZAN (Kala)  in Hamburg, she also regularly was a soloist with BEST OF MUSICAL. In Vienna she rocked the house as Deloris van Cartier in SISTER ACT, played Maria Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and Paulette Buonufonté in the European Premiere of LEGALLY BLONDE.  “Color blind casting” made her the world’s first dark-skinned Donna in MAMMA MIA!, followed by Baroness von Waldstätten in MOZART! (Austrian Music Theatre Award Nomination). Further engagements included Betty Jean in WINTER WONDERETTES/Kammerspiele Wien; Oda Mae Brown in GHOST – THE MUSICAL/Linz; Inez in ZORRO and the title role in Frank Wildhorn’s CARMEN/Winzendorf; Shug Avery in THE COLOUR PURPLE/Amsterdam, as well as Justice Charlier in ROCK OF AGES/Amstetten. She was the runner up in the 11th season of „Dancing Stars“ and received the Broadway World Austria Award for best supporting role in a musical for her interpretation of Nicki Marron in BODYGUARD – THE MUSICAL (VBW, Vienna). Afterwards she played „Grizabella” in CATS  and  Mrs van Hopper in REBECCA, both at the Raimundtheater in Vienna, Austria.
