Lilly Rottensteiner

Lilly was born and raised in Styria and graduated with distinction from the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) in 2022. During her education she sang at the opening of the Beethoven Year in the Festival Hall of the Vienna City Hall and took the title role in THE MIKADO, directed by Nicole Claudia Weber. After being awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Walter Jurmann Singing and Interpretation Competition in 2021, Lilly made her professional debut at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz under the direction of Josef E. Köpplinger in the role of Baroness Bomburst in CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. Since then, she has appeared on the stage of the Gärtnerplatztheater in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, DREI MÄNNER IM SCHNEE and MY FAIR LADY. In the world premiere of Thomas Zaufke and Peter Lund’s LIZZY CARBON UND DER KLUB DER VERLIERER she embodied the role of Sara at the Theater der Jugend. At the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien she performed under the direction of Alex Balga in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Raimund Theater, as well as in the concertante production of ELISABETH, staged by Gil Mehmert, in the courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace. Since March 2024 Lilly can be seen as Cover Carlotta Giudicelli and Swing in Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at the Raimund Theater in Vienna.
