Cosmopolitan Singer and Actress
Born in Haifa, Israel and raised in Vienna, Shlomit Butbul is a cosmopolitan artist whose work bridges cultures and disciplines. After graduating magna cum laude from the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, she began performing in numerous national and international productions across music, theatre, and film. She started as an actress and musical performer to be able to perform as a Jazz singer,
She has released four solo albums and gained international acclaim as the director of L’Inouï Café-Concert Café-Théâtrein Luxembourg—an esteemed cultural venue that she led for 14 years, hosting over 220 events annually.
On stage, Shlomit has portrayed a wide range of leading roles, including Dolly, Dulcinea, Sally, Die Rösslwirtin, Jente, Rose Brice, Maria Hölzel, the mother of pop star Falco (VBW Vienna), Mrs. Pearce and currently Flo Manero (Mörbisch Lake Festival), and Mrs. Holle , among many others. Her credits span renowned venues such as the Graz Opera House, Vereinigte Bühnen Vienna, Volkstheater Vienna, Theater der Jugend Vienna, Stadttheater Baden, Kabarett Simpl, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg.
She received professional training in acting, vocal performance, and emotional release techniques in New York and Arizona. In 2020, she became a certified Vocal Coach in Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) from CVI Copenhagen. Today, she also works as a Release Coach and teaches music drama at the Krauss Acting School in Vienna.
