Valerie Luksch

was born in Vienna. She was introduced to singing and dancing at an early age, taking lessons at the Wiener Staatsoper and the Volksoper Wien, where she performed in numerous productions. She started to learn the piano at the age of five and was awarded first prize at the Austrian young people’s music competition Prima la Musica. Valerie Luksch studied at the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in acting/musical theatre. During that time she appeared on stage as Little Red Riding Hood in the musical INTO THE WOODS at the Deutsches Theater München. She was one of the finalists in the National Singing Competition in Berlin and in the Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition at the Stadttheater Baden. Subsequently, she performed at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich and the Theatre of St. Gallen in shows such as MY FAIR LADY, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and ON THE TOWN. Further engagements include Chava in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at the Operettensommer Kufstein, Magnolia in SHOWBOAT, Tuptim in THE KING AND I and Irene Molloy in HELLO DOLLY at the Stadttheater Baden, Kathy Selden in SINGIN´ IN THE RAIN at the Theater Eggenfelden and in summer 2021 Maria in the WEST SIDE STORY at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch at lake Neusiedl in Austria. 2022 she portrayed Empress Elisabeth in the operetta SISSY in Jennersdorf, Austria followed by the role of Lucy Westenra in Frank Wildhorn’s DRACULA at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. In 2023 Valerie played Wolfgang A. Mozart’s Sister Nannerl in MOZART! at the Tecklenburg Festival and became a member of the Musical-Ensemble of Landestheater Linz in Austria. In her first production there she could be seen in the German language premiere of Andrew L. Webber’s SCHOOL OF ROCK as Ms. Macapugay and Ms. Travis, followed by Sandy Lester in TOOTSIE and as Female 6 -Marie 2 – Marie Beaton in the world premiere of DIE KÖNIGINNEN (The Queens), a new musical about Elisabeth I. and Maria Stuart.
