Bruno Grassini

was born and raised in Lombardy, Italy and started his studies of German and English at Trieste University, and later graduated from the Vienna Conservatory for Musical Theatre (1994).
During the last months of his studies he understudied Luigi Lucheni in the world premiere production of Theater an der Wien´s ELISABETH in Vienna, Austria. Bruno eventually took over this role and played it in several productions in Germany, his home country Italy, Switzerland and Japan where he celebrated both the twentieth anniversary of the show and his personal 1000th performance as Luigi Lucheni in October 2012.

Bruno was part of numerous galas internationally and can be heard on many recordings: in 2010 he released his first solo-album “Tra Cielo E Mare”, with new versions of Italian chart-hits from the Sixties.

Bruno wrote lyrics for three theatre pieces, new translations of French chansons which have been part of his solo-concert-programmes. Besides theatre he works as a photographer whose work has been published in several calendars. He is currently writing his first book about Italy and its lesser known beauties and enjoys spending time wood working and taking care of rescue animals.
