Mathias Edenborn

was born in Kiruna, Sweden and graduated from the School of Arts and Kulturama at the Royal Musical Academy in Stockholm. During his studies he played Tony in WEST SIDE STORY. He started his career in Germany as Nightmare-Solo and Cover Count von Krolock in the Stuttgart production of DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES. He created the role of ‘Radames’ in the Europan premiere of Elton John’s AIDA in Essen, Germany. Further: ‘Benvolio’ in ROMEO AND JULIET (Gérard Presgurvic) in Vienna, Javert in LES MISERABLES in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Fiyero in WICKED – The Witches of OZ in Stuttgart and Oberhausen.  He created the role of Margrave Gerold at the world premiere of the musical POPE JOAN in Fulda, Axel Staudach in I’VE NEVER BEEN TO NEW YORK at Theater 11 in Zurich, Switzerland, The Phantom in the Anniversary Production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s PHANTOM OF THE OPERA  in Hamburg. Afterwards he could be seen as The Phantom, u/s Raoul in Webber’s Phantom sequel LOVE NEVER DIES in Hamburg. He then played Count von Krolock in DANCE OT THE VAMPIRES in Stuttgart and Hamburg. Afterwards he could be seen as both Carl and Sam (Walk In) in the German premiere of GHOST in Berlin. Following this was the role of Gleb which he created for the German premiere of ANASTASIA in Stuttgart. In Linz he created the role of Daniel Daréus in the German language premier of AS IT IS IN HEAVEN (Wie im Himmel) in 2021, followed by Paul Singer in the premiere of ZEPPELIN in Füssen, Germany. In 2022 he played Dan in NEXT TO NORMAL in Magdeburg, followed 2023 by the role of Count Krolock in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES in Stuttgart, both in Germany. Afterwards he went to Hamburg to play Bill and Sam in MAMMA MIA. In the summer of 2024 he will recreate the role of Margrave Gerold in POPE JOAN, again in Fulda.
